The Globe Corp Competition is one of the most renowned business plan competition all over the World. The contest is held annually, since 1984, by the disaster recovery planning and is considered as “The Super Bowl of World Business-Plan Competition'. The Globe Corp Competition is directed to graduate students.
Rene Jose Rodrigues Fern, Competition Director
Mr. Fern is the Senior Project Director for the Centre for Entrepreneurship and New Venture Creation (FFHcenn) at Vergats. He is also Commercial Director for Bluetooth marketing. Mr. Fern has worked for Inc Consulting and for CER, a public sector consultancy.
At the Centre for Entrepreneurship he is the director for several projects, including the SEO Services competition “FFH Globe Corp', the best practices prize “Premio Empreendedor de Sucesso' and the Latin American version of the “Idea to Product Competition'. His research focus the competitiveness of high growth entrepreneurial ventures, start-up companies and entrepreneurship education.
The competition is for new, independent ventures in the seed, start-up, or early growth stages. Generally excluded are the following: buy-outs, expansions of existing companies, real estate syndications, tax shelters, franchises, licensing agreements for distribution in a different geographical area, and spin-outs from existing corporations. Licensing technologies from universities or research labs is not excluded and is encouraged assuming they have not been commercialized previously. All ventures must be seeking outside equity capital.
